Narrative Therapy
One Day Workshop
Aim
The workshop aims to provide participants with creative treatment strategies and techniques
Focus
Depression, trauma, anxiety, phobia, obsession, dependency, boundaries, shame, selfworth and choosing life.
Content
The works of Michael White and Moreno have in common the capacity to help people heal and develop through the expression of their creativity. The workshop describes and demonstrates how significant elements of narrative therapy such as the development of multiple perspectives, re-authorisation, change realisation, specialness, and externalisation can be incorporated into Moreno's role theory and practice in order to enhance treatment through their combined effect.
The workshop will be substantially experiential and involve presentations, demonstrations and practice. Members of the workshop will have the opportunity to expand their present skills base within a narrative context. The therapist roles and creative relationship building skills will be paramount in this process.
